Projects in Funding:

A Glimmer of Hope UK
AGoH is an engaged grant-making trust. I provided organisational development support and business planning for the trustees in 2002 when they were planning it’s future after a successful first 18 months of operation.

Unltd: the Foundation for Social Entrepreneurs
was a co-founder and Trustee of the organisation which operates the £100m Millennium Awards Endowment to support social entrepreneurs with individual awards. I helped to plan it’s ‘staircase’ approach with three increasing levels of support for social entrepreneurs to take their projects from early stages to growth.

Venture Philanthropy
I first heard of the concept in 2001 from Henry Drucker and felt that it might help with some of the concerns that social entrepreneurs expressed about current funding mechanisms. Following a visit to a venture philanthropy fund and some of their portfolio organisations in Boston I then worked with Henry’s organisation Oxford Philanthropic and McKinseys to host a series of seminars introducing the idea to the UK.
